How Do I Choose the Right Ultrasound Visit?

Start with your studio, how many weeks along you are and what you hope to experience. The package catalog shows timing, price, preparation, restrictions and availability together.

Help Me Choose
Does This Take the Place of an Ultrasound at My Doctor’s Office?

Absolutely not. An elective prenatal ultrasound does not replace care with a medical healthcare professional or a diagnostic ultrasound ordered by that clinician. Families attending the studio should be under the care of a primary OB/GYN. No referral is required for an elective keepsake visit. Diagnostic and vascular appointments require an order from a physician or midwife before booking.

Is This Ultrasound Covered by Insurance?

Elective prenatal visits are self-pay. Sneak A Baby Peek does not bill insurance for elective visits. Contact your insurance company and the studio you plan to visit for current coverage and payment information before booking.

Are You Able to Tell the Gender of the Baby?

Heartbeat visits begin at six weeks. Gender ultrasound visits begin at 13 weeks in Las Vegas and 15 weeks in Laughlin. Gender checks are commonly performed in 2D. A 3D/4D/HD gender package is also available for families who want additional viewing options. Choose the listed service and studio that match your pregnancy week.

Do I Need an Appointment? Do You Have a No-Show Policy?

Appointments are highly recommended. A $25 booking deposit is due at booking, and the remaining balance is due on the day of service. The booking system requires a credit card on file for all clients. Please arrive on time: there is a 10-minute grace period. Give at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. A no-show fee is $45. One rebooking is allowed; a new $25 booking deposit is required to rebook after a missed appointment.

How Far Along Should I Be Before a 4D & HD Ultrasound?

If you plan to have one 3D, 4D or HD ultrasound examination, book between 27 and 34 weeks for the best chance of facial images. Mini Sneak A Peek, Sneak A Peek, Forever and Elite Sneak use this later-pregnancy imaging window. Later in pregnancy, baby may have less room to move and may be positioned in ways that make facial images harder to obtain. The best time can vary for every mother depending on whether baby is awake, kicking and moving. A sweet drink or candy before the visit may help if it suits your routine. After 38 weeks, facial profile images can be more difficult; call the studio before booking if you have questions about timing.

Can I Get More Than One Ultrasound?

Yes. Some families choose a gender check and later visits in the second and third trimester to obtain photos from different stages of pregnancy. Bliss Journey is the multi-visit option for families interested in multiple packages. Listed imaging visits can provide photos and video, including 4D and HD viewing where listed. When visible, families may enjoy ordinary movements such as a yawn or wave, but no image or movement can be guaranteed. Compare the individual visit inclusions and Bliss Journey before booking. Diagnostic exams follow a separate order-based process; contact your chosen studio after you have an order from a physician or midwife.

Is It Safe to Do Frequent Ultrasounds?

Ultrasound imaging uses high-frequency sound waves and does not use ionizing radiation. Discuss ultrasound frequency and safety for your pregnancy with your prenatal healthcare professional. Elective keepsake visits do not replace prenatal care.

Is There an Additional Charge for More Than One Baby?

Yes. An additional $25 per baby applies for twins or more on eligible visits because the technician needs extra time for additional babies. Mini Sneak A Peek is excluded. Call your chosen studio before booking so the team can confirm the right appointment.

Is Recording Video or Taking Pictures Allowed?

Photos and video of the space are permitted. If you share studio or ultrasound imagery on social media, please tag or collaborate with Sneak A Baby Peek to support the business. Ask your studio before recording so the team can share guidance for the space and your appointment.

What if I Arrive Too Early for a Heartbeat or Gender Session?

Please ensure you are at least six weeks pregnant for a heartbeat session. If a heartbeat cannot be heard because you arrived before six weeks, a rescan may need to be scheduled. For gender determination, Las Vegas visits begin at 13 weeks and Laughlin visits begin at 15 weeks. Booking at or after the listed start week helps avoid an early gender rescan; call your studio if you are unsure.

Will I Always Get a Beautiful Image of My Baby?

There are no guarantees and no refunds. Great images depend on baby and several factors, including baby position, amniotic fluid levels, baby sleeping, umbilical cord positioning, whether the placenta is positioned in front of or behind baby, and being far along in pregnancy. The technician may try reasonable comfort-focused changes such as asking you to cough, changing scan positions, emptying a bladder that is too full, simple stretches or candy. The technician explains baby’s positioning so you can understand why the best images may not be obtained. A $25 booking deposit is collected when booking, with the remaining balance collected on the day of service. A 10% veteran discount is available with proof of military ID.
